Vicky's viewpoint (Club Captain's report)
What an awesome dinner night we had last week! The kai, the dancing, the people made it one to remember. Special thanks to Lorraine and Hartwig for their super kitchen skills! And Lynda for decorating the place and inviting her son to dance for us!
Also thank you for all your feedback about how we can improve dinner nights. In the next couple of weeks the committee will review all your comments and communicate what improvements we will be making thanks to your suggestions. Remember dinner nights are held on the last Thursday of every month so please RSVP by the Tuesday before so we can cater for you.
Congratulations again to Jeanne for being our Member of the Month! I will get your coffee voucher for next time I see you!
Rod was at it again on the weekend completing another half marathon! Well done Rod especially after your great parkrun time on Saturday. Congrats to Cath for taking 1st place Walker at the Tora in Martinborough! Looked like a challenging course but those views!!
Don't forget it's King's Birthday so we have a long weekend coming up. If you are going away I hope you get a bit of parkrun tourism in! We are hoping to get to Waitangi parkrun in Wellington - if the weather holds out.
Finally you will be pleased to know my Garmin plan has finished, however I am now onto my next challenge, Hawkes Bay Half!! https://endurancecui.active.com/event-reg/select-race?e=82312034 That means Garmin is still around albeit slightly different. Check out the Thursday night plan for further details.
See you on Thursday!
Vicky
