Newsletter - 27 June Vicky's Voice

Another week is over...where is the time going??

Well done to the HRR contingent down in Wellington and it was great to witness Aaron smash a course PB at Cambridge parkrun. (See Stu's stats for more info) Some of us missed cake at the uni parkrun but it was good to visit the Undulator as we now affectionately name the Cambridge course! The course has inspired our Sunday run this week too...further info later on.

Winter Solstice was last week so the days are getting longer...although it might not seem like it! But all down here to summer right and there is so much happening in the next couple of months so we've plenty to look forward to!!

First off, we have dinner nights. This Thursday is dinner night so make sure you have registered (details further on in the newsletter) and on the 27th July we will have a mid winter Christmas themed dinner night. So prepare to get Christmas ready!

As mentioned last week, Papamoa parkrun starts on the 8th July (providing the path is repaired after a wash out last week...) but all going well there will be a parkrun roadie to Gordon Spratt Reserve on the 22nd July.

We will also have a bonus run on Friday 14th July on the Matariki long weekend - watch this space for details.

Finally it’s the trail trilogy early bird entry finishes on the 30th June so check out this awesome event! I’ve signed up to race the train which has been on my list for a while. Check out the website for more details www.trailtrilogy.com.

I will be leaving you in the capable hands of the committee this week as I have a night watching films about running so enjoy your dinner night and see you on Sunday in Cambridge!

Vicky
