On Saturday 30th April 2022, a number of Hamilton Road Runners headed to Matamata to take part in the inaugural Middle-Earth Halfling Marathon and 11km trail runs.
Both routes included picturesque scenery over the Waikato region, and the team walked and ran many, many hills in order to see the breathtaking views.
Hobbiton Movie Set was part of the route and many of us stopped to take photos, listen to the music and have a drink in the Green Dragon pub.
