Vicky's viewpoint (Club Captain's report)
I hope you had a great long weekend! Great to see a few of you going out and about and partaking in some parkrun tourism. Stu and I headed to Waitangi Park parkrun in Wellington - was a beautiful morning and would say this is definitely worth a visit!
This weekend is a big weekend with the Kirikiriroa Marathon on Saturday. Good luck to all of you running the solo or relay! We will have the HRR gazebo up near Ann Street so if you are wanting to keep some stuff at the tent you are more than welcome. All volunteers I will email out the details on Thursday night.
We also have a committee meeting next week so if you have anything great ideas, or issues you wish to feedback please let us know. Finally a goodbye to Kannan and Sudha. It’s been a pleasure to have you in the club and can’t wait to see the HRR shirt represented in India. Kannan has also said if we ever go to India to let him know - it’s the best marathon in the world, so he says See you Thursday! Vicky Volunteers Kirikiriroa Marathon is on Saturday June 10, if anyone's able to volunteer during the day and hasn't let Vicky know, let Andrew know (or email kirikiriroamarathon@gmail.com). Thursday For those tapering for the weekend Vicky is running 30 minutes round the lake. Saturday Parkrun day! And Kirikiriroa Marathon day, good luck everyone. Sunday Leaving at 9am from Olive cafe for a Flagstaff wander. If you are recovering from Saturday join us for a coffee at Olive from 10:15.
