Might need a cup of tea and a biscuit, there's a lot of reading this week:
Vicky's viewpoint (Club Captain's report)
It was a busy weekend with a trip to Rotorua for the Marathon (and other distances).
Was great to see so many people from the club out there in the rain! See Stu’s results for the full breakdown at the end of the newsletter but big congrats to Clementine and Lauren for running their first ever half marathon and Aaron for his marathon PB!
Eileen also completed her 20th Rotorua Marathon so she has a new t-shirt from the Rotorua Survivors Club. Look forward to seeing it at club night maybe!
James and Cathie were in the top 3 for their age categories and Rod and Eileen also won their age grades in the NZ Masters!
Sarah-Jane and I were in for a shock when we turned up to the Rotorua 5km Runway Run to see Olympians Hayden Wilde and Samuel Tanner also taking part!!!
This weekend is looking even busier with a fair few events happening! Good luck to everybody racing, especially to Rod who is completing his 150th Half Marathon.
To all the Skedaddlers enjoy this amazing free trail event, take a picnic and camping chair and pitch up at the HRR gazebo and shelter from the elements.
We’ve got Kirikiriroa coming up in a few weeks. We will have the HRR gazebos at Ann Street and need a cheering squad. If you can help please let me know by the end of the week. We can set times so if you are running we can work around this.
That’s enough from me - See you all on Thursday.
Dinner night - Thursday 25th May Aloha , note your diary and get your loud shirts ready. It's a Hawaiian theme for this months dinner night.
There'll be a survey coming your way to get your feedback on dinner nights, what you like, what could be better. Coming to an inbox and club night near you soon.
